Barbara was my best friend for more than 48 years, my wife of 47 years, and the love of my life.  There are no words to describe how much she meant to me and to our family.  I miss her dearly and the grief washes over me in waves as if I were on a beach.   There was so much more love I wanted to share in person, that I will now share in spirit forever.

“My mother was a lovely person who was compassionate, generous, and had an admirable personality.  Saying farewell to such a wondrous person is incredibly painful.  Her difficulties are over, and I know she will be at rest. 
She was the one that ushered me into the world of art and painting, always complimenting and encouraging me to pursue my passion.  I thank her for this, wherever she is.  While she was teaching me what she knew, her kind attitude allowed for not only me, but also my brother Greg to express ourselves.  Her legacy, artwork, and beautiful garden are testaments to her virtue and will serve to remind us of her on a daily basis. 
It's no secret that my mother and I had a strong, unforgettable, and one-of-a-kind bond. Her sense of humor molded me into the person I am now, and she left an indelible mark on me. 
It was a privilege to be her daughter, and her loss has left a void within me.  But I will draw strength from the lessons she gave me.”


From Gregory:

“I moved away from Colorado to Arizona in 2015 and didn’t realize the short time I would have left with my mom. But despite that, every time I would be home to visit it wouldn’t matter what time of the day it was, she was always there to greet me with a big hug. Greeted with Love. This carried over to everything else in my life, it didn’t matter what it was. My mom was always there, always a loving presence in my life that I will forever miss. I have fond memories of playing baseball, hearing her cheer in-between innings, practice, and tryouts. Even just playing catch to warm up for pitching practice in the backyard of my childhood home. 
She was always there. Now she will forever be missed, and forever loved.”

Barb was the quintessential aunt to my boys.  She was always positive, she was always supportive, and she was always sitting right beside us at all of their extracurricular events – even in the cold and wind of Spring track meets, or the blazing heat of late-Summer tennis matches.  Her presence was a fixture that Jake and Patrick cherished, and will be truly missed.

As a sister-in-law, I grew to love her as if she was my own sister.  Her positive outlook and wonderful sense of humor always lifted my spirits, and made spending time with her and Kevin a treat whenever we got together.  I will treasure those memories fondly, and miss her dearly.

And in addition to being a sister, she was a wonderful friend to my wife RaeAnna.  I feel very fortunate to live in the same city as Barbara, because it enabled RaeAnna to spend lots of time with Barb on lots of different activities – all of which she loved.


Hey Barb...Where are you?  You have been  my friend for over 28 years now.  Remember all those Acoustic Eidolon concerts  we went to?  It was a  celebration of the beginning of the Christmas season for us. Our exchange of treats over the holidays was all so special.  We watched our girls grow up being friends and turn into young women. I remember being so amused watching you chase Jenny down the street for some unknown indiscretion.  Your smile was so comforting.  It was you who I went to and shared my diagnosis of breast cancer. You always had a calming effect. Thank you for being my good neighbor and friend. Some day we will all meet again on another highway.  Blessings to you and yours.

My thoughts and prayers are with Barb's family and friends. 
We were neighbors for many years and her cheery smile made our "over the fence" chats a welcome part of a day.  Her lovely garden was an inspiration, as I marveled at the height of her dahlias!!!! But at least I could enjoy them from my side. 
I'm sure heaven gained an angel, and she will watch over her loved ones with care. 

Barb was a wonderful women, her smile was infectious.  Having her and Kevin as neighbors in my first house has been such a blessing.    Neighbors are part of what makes a home… a “home” as they also bring comfort, peace, support, and friendship to our lives.    I got to know Barb over the last 11 years and she is the definition of sweet.  Barb was generous, kind, helpful, and friendly to me.

The first thing I remember about Barb was her glorious garden!   Her roses and dahlias  grew so colorful and beautiful, specks of bright pinks all over.  Her yard was a place of peace and beauty and it inspired me to build a backyard that I never wanted to leave.   I remember sharing gardening stories with Barb, she would so sweetly compliment me on my gardening journey, share tips, and be encouraging.  

Barb loved to shared her delicious and beautiful vegetable garden or a delicious recipe with me.   Her generosity even spread to my fur babies; Colt, and Daisy will miss her dearly.  She was so loving she had a small hole drilled through the fence so she could give these pups treats.  I think their favorite part of the day was going over to visit her.  It brought me a smile too, watching as she she spoiled them with love. 

Barb had a genuine, bright and positive glow around her.  Her smile was inviting and comforting.  Anyone who met her, knew she was a wonderful sweet women.   I am grateful for the years I had Barb as my neighbor and friend.  I will miss her dearly.  I’ll find memories of her everyday I look outside at the garden and see those beautiful flowers.  Which is fitting because she was as sweet as a flower and her smile brightened all those around her.

There has been a distinct cloud over High Country Rd., that many of us have noticed.  Barb is a neighbor who was there for me so many times over the years. She really cared. She had that smile that lights up anywhere she was at. Kevin and family, please know I care about you all so much. Many prayers are being said for you all. My daughter and her family also asked that I let you know Barb is in their thoughts. We will miss her smile and her kindness.
