I was blessed to know Uncle Bernie and he is certainly missed. One memory in particular that I have is of driving through Europe listening to Queen with Tom, Julia, Aunt Chris, and Uncle Bernie. I remember having a blast singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody while Uncle Bernie and Aunt Chris were safely navigating us around windy mountain roads in France. Uncle Bernie and Aunt Chris took me from Montpellier to Nice and then back to their home in Zurich and I remember thinking how cool the whole family was! That trip was one of the best times of my life. Despite the DiMauros always living far from Pennsylvania we still saw them nearly every year. I will always feel grateful for the time spent together and always admire Uncle Bernie's commitment to family. 

Bernie, you are a great man. You lived your life seizing adventure at every opportunity. And what adventures they were! You had a brilliant career. You explored so many places in this world touching many lives along the way. You found the love of your life and, between the two of you, raised two amazing kids. We will always consider you and Chris to be one of the greatest couple of all time. Both of you have always been so obviously in love.

You taught so many of us practical things like don't use a screwdriver to reset the GFI so you don't electrocute yourself, and, if the directions say to use a scale to measure the flour, then use a scale. Read and follow the directions!! By your example, you taught us to be our best selves. You showed us how to use our words and actions to make the world a better place. We are so very grateful to be a part of your circle. We will always love you!

Good bye dear friend. You made an impact on our entire family. Always welcoming to all of us. Coaching hockey, family meals, your love for your family will continue to shine bright. Bernie you will be missed. Love Jim, Sheree, Bryan and Jessica.

Uncle Bernie was the best. He was so encouraging to me as a child, we shared a love of classical music (and all music), photography, and technology. I still have the flute player music box that he gave me. He and Christine made Chris and I feel so welcome and loved every time we visited CO. Bernie was Chris' hero retiring at such a young age, but he was mine for so many other reasons. As a little girl, I wanted to marry someone just like him - I thought my aunt was the luckiest lady because Bernie adored her so much. He was such a great husband, father, uncle, and family man. Bernie will be forever missed. Aunt Christine, Julia and Tommy, hugs and love to all of you as you grieve.

Sending our love to Chris and family.  Bernie was a great friend and brother in law.  We loved  sharing the journey with him the last 40+ years.    We will miss him always and hold him forever in our hearts.
