Carl Alfred Mack Goshorn, known to friends and family as "Mack," passed away on March, 25th 2020, at the age of 83 years. Mack is currently no longer in pain and worshiping at the feet of his maker, Jesus.
A native of Durango and the 7th of nine children born to Earl and Ethel Goshorn. After high school Mack joined the Air Force where he was honorably discharged after 22 years of service that took him to stations in Alaska, Germany, France, Spain, Korea twice, (where he met Pak in 1971 and they were later married) and several locations within the United States.
After serving his country, Mack was employed by Union Carbide which was later purchased by Praxair. At Praxair Mack was employed as a Plant Operator where he worked with Ron Weaver making a lifetime friend.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sun Cha “Pak” Goshorn, sons Mack, Jr. (Brenda) and Don (Sherry), 5 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, brothers, Scott (Donna), Glenn, Royal (Marie), Ronald, (Sharon) sister, Loraine (Fred), many nephews and nieces. Mack was preceded in death by his Mother, Ethel and Father, Earl, brothers, Herb, Lowell, and sister, Elaine.
Mack touched so many lives. His neighbors spoke so highly of him because of the goodness and kindness in his heart. He helped others in need whenever he could. He was a favorite of nephews and nieces. Mack will leave a void in the lives of so many and will be missed. Mack was an avid golfer and loved playing golf with his nephews and sons. Mack had the unique experience of hitting 3 holes in one during his golfing days.
A private family celebration of Mack’s life will be held at 2 PM, on Friday, March 27th, 2020 at the Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland Colorado. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Social gathering limitations of 10 or fewer will be enforced.
