

Dale was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and was adopted as an infant by Albert and Anna Adams. He grew up in the Beatrice, Nebraska and surrounding areas. He attended St. Paul Elementary School and Beatrice High School. After attending Beatrice High School, he spent 4 years in the United States Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor and Adak, Alaska as a submariner during the end of the Korean conflict.
In his early 20s, he met Marilyn Forke and they married in 1958. They recently celebrated 65 years of marriage surrounded by many friends and family. They resided in the Adams, Nebraska area raising their 3 children, Gary, Kim, and Lance, while being involved with church activities and attending their childrens' numerous sporting activities. In 1985, they fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Longmont/Berthoud, Colorado. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Dale and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to loving his family.
He spent 40+ years in the construction industry, owning his own construction business in Adams, Nebraska, followed by a position as a general superintendent in Colorado for Taylor Ball until his retirement in 2001.
When not working, Dale enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, woodworking, and skeet shooting. After retirement, Dale and Marilyn spent 17 years traveling the country in their RV, resulting in reaching most of the United States, meeting new friends, and making a lifetime of wonderful memories along the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, son Gary Adams (Christy), daughter Kim Weber (Tom), and son Lance Adams (Rob), grandchildren Stacy Fitzgerald (Matt), Chelsie Adams, Jared Adams (Kylie), Dustin Wallman (Whitney), Dillon Wallman, and Seth Weber, and 5 great grandchildren Quinn, Harper, and Noelle Fitzgerald, Wyatt Adams, and RayLynn Hill.
Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 3999 W South 1st Street, Johnstown, CO on Monday August 14 at 4:30 with a reception to follow.
Celebration and storytelling to follow the reception at the home and Gary and Christy Adams (2079 Doyle Dr. Berthoud CO). For those unable to join us, the next time you have a beer (red if you’ve got it), raise a glass and give Dale a little cheer.
