To Dans Mom and Dad...

You sure did good. I wasn’t surprised that he was from such a big family. You could tell just how he interacted with everyone one. He was a gifted and caring human being. With Dan working besides you, you knew you were going to have a good day. He was there for everyone.

Thanks for such a good man

I’m sitting here with my two daughters having ice cream at Walrus and this man comes up with a big smile on his face and immediately starts telling jokes to us...

Why does the snowman go to the market? ...... To pick his nose!!

Why do ducks have tail feathers? ......
To cover up their buttQUACKS

I told my girls that man reminded me of Dan! I’m going to miss seeing his friendly smile, the conversations, and most of all those jokes!! I would take those jokes home and try to repeat them to my family and we would all laugh when I got them right and when I couldn’t! He made a positive impact on my life and I will never forget him! The world needs more friendly souls like him... I hope all of his friends and loved ones are able to find peace with his passing by knowing while he was here in Earth he truly made everyone’s day a bit brighter when he was in the room. (But I’m sure you all already know that)

Dan brought so much joy to my life when I was going through a very difficult season. His smile, love of life, joy in Christ and easy-going personality are what I will remember most about him. I praise God that our lives intersected on the earth and we will be together forever in heaven. Our loss is heaven's gain!

I'm not sure where to start. Dan and I met in the mid eighties working at Red Lobster. We immediately clicked which lead to a decades long friendship. Dan was one of a very few people I can call "best friend" and I'm blessed to have known him. The years we spent as roommates we're just a wild ride. We had adventures, we partied, we turned wrenches (a lot of wrenching). I'm going to miss the random phone call and I wish I could have just one more. Later in our friendship we both came to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It's comforting to know that Dan is now wrapped in God's love for eternity and I'm looking forward to the day we meet again. Until that day, I love you Dan.

I moved in across the street from Dan 5 years ago. He came right over the first time he saw me and introduced himself. He was such a kind person and he always had a smile. He loved to laugh and always had a corny joke to make you laugh. He was always happy to help me by working on my car or helping me move some furniture. I always loved cooking for him because he appreciated it so very much. The neighborhood won't be the same without him. I will miss him terribly.

I worked with Dan as a server in the eighties at The Egg and I. He was one of the most compassionate, and selfless men I have ever known. He always helped out anyone in need, even if it was inconvenient. One of my sweetest and dearest memories of Dan was when I was sick and had to miss my work shift and he brought me soup after his shift so that I would feel better. Such an amazing soul! I feel very blessed for having known him! May peace and love be with you always Dan.

I loved how kind Dan was. I loved his love of cats and always looked forward to seeing new pictures of his fur babies and to talk about them. He will be very missed and was a wonderful person.

Dan was such a wonderfully kind person. He was always thoughtful and would randomly spoil us coworkers in a different department with cookies, muffins, and doughnuts. He loved sharing stories about the residents he drove around town, and truly cared about everyone he knew. His smile and demeanor will be greatly missed.

Dan the man!! Dan was the man, really. Caring for his work and the people around him. Always a smile, and a none sense joke ;) So many times he brightened our day in many ways. You could always count on him. An easy going guy with a great big heart. You will be missed. Hope you get a good treatment up there, you deserve it ❤️

I’m really gonna miss him. He had the biggest heart, and the worst jokes. 😊 But was always there to bring a smile to your face. He was there in my time of need over and over again. Bray and I are so thankful to have known you and to be able to call you friend. ❤️
