

David was born February 19, 1954 to Frank Shaw and Roberta Paulk in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from S. H. Rider High School in 1972. Ten years later he moved to Colorado where he lived for most of his life.
David diligently worked up from being a postal carrier to later becoming a postmaster achieving countless awards for his dedication to his career. He retired from the USPS in 2010.
David was proud to have created a men’s support group for other men going through cancer treatments. He was a strong advocate and participant for AA support groups.
David was a lifelong musician. He’s fondly remembered playing his acoustic guitar frequently. David was a man who loved his family deeply, enjoyed going on long road trips, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. David had a great sense of humor and was always making those around him laugh. He found joy in watching college football and doing small handyman projects around the house.
Survivors include siblings: Robbie (Claude) Foster and Stephe (Debbie) Shaw; children: Cody (Tressa) Shaw and Paige Shaw; grandchildren: Donovan Shaw, Bailey Shaw, Kassidy Shaw, Jasper Shaw and Cadian Shaw; great grandchildren: Mason Shaw, Suzanne Shaw and Kya Shaw.
David is preceded in death by his parents: Frank Shaw and Roberta Paulk; children: Michael Shaw and April Shaw.
A Memorial Service for David is being held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Allnutt Funeral Service – Hunter Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Immediately following, there will be a Committal Service at Loveland Burial Park.
