

Diane was born April 30,1937 to the late George and Dorothy (Anderson) Wright in Altoona, Wisconsin. She attended the local schools, as did her husband. After starting to raise a family. Diane attended a local technical college in Eau Claire where she graduated with an Associate Degree in accounting.
Diane married her soulmate Dean Nelson in 1957 in Altoona, Wisconsin. For most of her working life, Diane was an inventory control clerk at Land O Lakes. Her main objective was to assure that her children and grandchildren would receive a quality education.
Diane loved to travel. She and her husband spent joyful years RVing all over North America. Travel time was also spent in Central America and parts of Europe. Diane enjoyed everything from ATVing and snorkeling to riding air currents in a hot air balloon. Hiking and snowshoeing in the Colorado high country was a real joy. She was an avid reader and found joy in sewing and baking. Diane’s loved ones will remember her for a strong belief in education and her thoughtful and compassionate nature.
Diane is survived by a loving family. Her husband, Dean, a daughter Paula Wilson (husband Jim Wilson) and son Mark (wife Sandra Nelson). Her grandchildren include grandsons Nathan Wilson, Jonathan Wilson and granddaughters Lauren Nelson and Shalyn Nelson. Her surviving siblings are a brother, James Wright and sisters, Joanne Broderick and Jean Whipple.
A private family service will be held in the future.
