Diane was born on September 19, 1954, in Casper, Wyoming, to Betty Jane Holt. She lived a life filled with love, devotion to family and the friends that became family, and a fierce (and often sassy) spirit that touched everyone around her. The American Soldiers, past and present, meant everything to her. She was bar manager at the American Legion Post 21 in Golden, CO and during her time there started the Pig Roast in 2008 while her son Joseph was deployed with the Army. The proceeds of that fundraiser provided gifts and supplies that were sent to soldiers deployed and stationed at home. That fundraiser continued for many years until her retirement.
Diane leaves behind cherished memories with her sons, James (Barb) Neville and Joseph (Breanna) Neville; her grandson Adam Neville, granddaughter Abigail Neville, and Barb’s grandson Maddox Wathier. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in the love and bonds they shared.
In addition to other loved ones who passed away, Diane was preceded in death by her mother Betty Jane Holt, grandmother Mary Turley, stepmother Helen, her twin brother Danny Holt, her niece Jessica Burnquist, and her nephew Andy Holt.
Those who knew Diane will remember her love, kindness, and the lasting impact she made every day. There are many great memories she shared with her Legion and VFW families. She was incredibly grateful for all those that loved her and were there for her when she needed them the most. Diane cared for and loved everyone immensely. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
