Diane Sue Sholar, age 82, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 2, 1942 in Louisiana to Samuel Warren and Dorothy (Gremillion) Courtney. Diane is survived by her son Chris Wright, his wife Jenny and two daughters Anna and Ava of Fort Collins. Her son Blake Guynes, wife Angie and two children Haley and Sam of Grain Valley, Missouri.
Diane had many professions throughout her life. She worked as a receptionist, as a florist and at Louisiana State University of Shreveport and most recently at the Fort Collins Target. She then lived in Kentucky where she learned to love the game of golf.
In 2010, Diane moved west to Fort Collins to be closer to her son and his wife, Jenny. They have two daughters who affectionately named her Mamaw. Diane was an enormous part of Anna and Ava’s lives and would help with absolutely everything and was a very hands-on Mamaw. She loved to take them shopping and to Starbucks for a treat. Diane was full of advice and a great listener and she had a tremendous impact on her Granddaughter's lives. As her family, we feel so lucky they had such a close relationship with their Mamaw for their whole lives. You’ve likely seen Diane working at Target, she loved making conversation with all her customers and she loved her work family.
Although Diane’s physical presence may no longer be in our lives, her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her. We will miss her so much.
