Born April 4th 1938 to William & Beatrice Thompson in Packsville, West Virginia
He served in the Navy from 1956-1960. From there he met his wife Marsha Maye Bullock and they got married on December 22nd 1961.They were married 61 beautiful years and had two daughters Jillene Dawn Sowl (06/08/1964) and Karen Colleen Savage (02/22/1966). He had many hobbies some of which include: hunting, golfing, playing softball, woodworking, playing guitar, writing poems, growing his tomatoes, and most importantly playing with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Edward was a very kind, friendly and loving family man who always thought of his family before himself. He also had a stubborn funny side to him that could make anyone smile. He Enjoyed family holidays and get togethers and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Marsha, his two daughters Jillene (John) and Karen (Monte), six grandchildren Josh, Lindsay (Josh), Matthew, Taryn, Morgan (Garrett), and Preston and his two great-grandchildren Autumm and Jaxon.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Beatrice and his three brothers Larry, Steve and Benjamin.
Edward passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
