Genevieve L. Nuss

Genevieve Nuss suddenly passed away and went to be with her heavenly father on April 13, 2019. Cremation has taken place in Loveland CO. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at her church, Grace Chapel with Bruce Peterson officiating. There will be a private internment, at Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Genny was born on June 27, 1939, the third child of Victor and Lydia Green. She married Richard D Nuss on July 14, 1957. She was a loving wife for over 62 years. They have two children, Steven and Shelly and two grandchildren Brooke and Mackenzie. During her years of employment with the Telephone Company and Nebraska Public Power, she formed many long lasting friendships with her coworkers. She provided customer care to many patrons, many of which she formed lasting friendships with. She was known for her quick smile and witty humor and kindness to all. Genny, or Gen to many, was a faithful member of her church and enjoyed interacting with fellow church members. She loved being grandma and spoiled her grandchildren as much as she could. She was quoted as saying “If I could have been a grandma first I would have” She loved every minute she had with them. She had many great friends, but her best friend was her sister. She and Vicki loved to spend time together going to garage sales and having lunch. She will be sadly missed by her family and many dear friends. Genevieve is survived by her husband Richard, son Steve (Deb), Shelly (Scott) Bream, grandchildren Brooke and Mackenzie, sister Vicki (Roger) Wheeler and sisters in law Norma Green, Jane Carey, Tonya (Randy) Baum, Mary Ann (Robert) Nuss . Gens arrival in heaven was preceded by her parents, Victor and Lydia Green, brother’s Leonard and Gene, sister in law Nora Green and maternal and paternal grandparents. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Grace Chapel.
