

Helen Ruth May, 89, of Greeley, passed on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Born on November 14, 1936, to Ruth Miller Andrews and Lindsay Andrews in Clovis, New Mexico. Helen was the oldest of seven children. In 1955 she graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell, New Mexico and later graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas.
Helen dedicated much of her life to serving others, both professionally and at home. Over the years, she worked at SeaWorld, as an insurance adjuster, and in retail, bringing her strong work ethic and friendly spirit to every position she held. Above all, she cherished her role as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends. A devoted born-again Christian, Helen's faith was the foundation of her life. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and Bible Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and later attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Her unwavering faith guided her actions and inspired those around her. Helen was known for her outgoing personality, positive outlook, and joyful heart. She had a gift for making others feel valued and was quick to share a smile, an encouraging word, or a helping hand. Her optimism, kindness, and genuine love for people left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Robert "Bob" May; son, Dale Mierzwik (Carol); grandchildren, Bryan Mierzwik, Stephen Mierzwik; great-grandchildren, Romana and Ellie Mierzwik and sisters, Mildred Ford and Linda McDuff.
Helen was predeceased in death by her first husband, Robert Mierzwik, Sr.; son, Robert Mierzwik, Jr.; and siblings, Darryl Andrews, Edward Andrews, Harold Andrews, Jo Ann Ringo, and Dorthy Buchanan.
