It is not only heartbreaking that my aunt Ila has passed away, but it’s especially sad to realize that I had lost touch with my wonderful Colorado family over the last several years.  Now I’m left with the regret of not finding the time to enjoy Ila’s laugh, and  her all encompassing kindness one last time.  I can’t  turn back the clock to see her again in this life, but I take comfort in knowing that Ila is with mom and dad and all of the other amazing people who are in heaven with her.  God bless you Ila, you will always be in our hearts and memories. 

My name is Sandy Hansen Murphy. I grew up on a farm that was approximately 1.5 miles north of where the Bros lived. My older sister Sharon is the same age as Diane Bro. Sharon, Diane and I attended the little one room school house on the corner down the hill from the Bros. I’m not positive but I think Ila Mae may have babysat me, Sharon, Becky and Cort.
I currently live in Longmont CO. I didn’t know that Ila Mae lived in Loveland. I’ve been in Colorado for 26 Years. My condolences to all of of Ila Maes family and friends.

Ila Mae was a very sweet, friendly person. I have been her friend for over 68 years so we have lots of shared memories.  She and Ron were in our high school graduation class in 1958 and in our our wedding party in 1960, and have remained friends all through the years.  She and her kind, loving ways will be missed.

Ila and.my Mom Elly were good friends. After my Mom passed in 2019 Ila continued to stay in touch. 
She sent cards at the holidays. She made quilts as gifts to our Mom. Mom kept all her cards and I've enjoyed reading them. I know her and Mom will rejoice in heaven together. Love and Sympathies to the family. She is was a blessing to us all. 



Ila Mae was always so loving & welcoming!  She was genuinely interested in others and I loved her witty comments.  I feel blessed to have known her.  Big love & hugs to the family!

I met Ila over 40 years ago working at H.P.  Over the years we stayed in contact by emails .... phone calls....visits....and lunch dates!
Ila was so much fun to be around....I have two blankets Ila made for me...that I will cherish always!  Oh how I miss her emails telling me abut her kids, grandkids, great grandkids......fun family times....and I loved the photos she would send to me in my Birthday & Christmas cards!  I sure will miss this very sweet friend....Rest in peace, Dear Ila Mae...You were a 'ONE OF A KIND FIREND"........

Ila Mae was one of the sweetest people we knew in high school.  She never met anyone who was not a friend.
