Jaqueline Bernadette Bilek, 89, of Loveland, passed away Monday evening, October 20, 2025, at her residence. She lived to almost 90 years of age and credited her longevity to the love she had for her family. Jaqueline leaves behind a legacy of love and faith.
She loved visiting her grandmother and grandfather when she was young. Playing baseball and picking pecans with her cousins was one of her favorite past-times growing up as well as going to Knoebels Amusement Park.
Jackie was born on October 22, 1935, to Joseph and Frances Hanisko in Shamokin, Pennsylvania and had a younger brother Joseph whom she adored. After high school she joined the Bernadine Sisters of St. Francis in Reading, Pennsylvania. She had to leave the convent to take care of her ill mother in Astoria, Queens, New York where she met Charles.
Jackie was a devoted Roman Catholic, and a strong believer in her faith. In good times and bad she was always dedicated to God. She would always forgive all wrongs and believed in forgiveness.
In 1970, they moved with their children to Aurora, Colorado for Charles’ work. During the 80's Jackie went back to the workforce as a switchboard operator at United Bank of Denver where she eventually worked her way up to an executive assistant.
Jackie loved playing cards, sitting outside, listening to music and word search books. She enjoyed spending time with family laughing and telling stories. As a devoted fan she loved watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche. She would go to all of Larry and Chuck’s hockey games with Jackie when they played on the same team. She loved going to dance recitals and competitions for her grandchildren Kim and Christopher. She also enjoyed going to watch her grandkids, Greg and Garrett, play hockey and lacrosse.
The relationship she had with her husband, Charles Bilek, was not like any other. Charles and Jacqueline had been married 64 years; The love and bond they shared was unique and special. They had two children, Jacqueline and Lawrence.
Most of all she loved and adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children’s faces, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. Jackie wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life.
She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Rene Bilek of Loveland, CO, son Lawrence Bilek of Loveland, CO, grandchildren Christopher A. Bilek of Johnstown, CO, Kimberly A.
