James Russell Oldson, 83, of Loveland, CO passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Jim was born to Voyde and Iva Oldson April 18, 1939 in Downs, KS. He was preceded in death by Sandra, his wife of 53 years who passed away the previous Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
Jim is survived by his children Kenny Oldson (Nancy), Lynn Burrows (David), James Oldson, Robin Broughton (Mike), Kim Brunmeier, Cindy Aumiller (Todd), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his sister Iva Theisen and his brother Dennis Oldson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ronald and Voyde D. Oldson, Jr. and sister Merna Johnson.
Jim served in the Marine Reserves, worked as a high-power voltage lineman, and retired as Area Superintendent with Western Area Power Administration (WAPA).
Jim was a 16th generation Masonic Mason. He and Sandy were active members of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. They accumulated an impressive collection of Garfield collectibles during Jim’s time as Worthy Patron. They traveled extensively and went on multiple cruises, Alaska being one of the most memorable. In addition to traveling in their RV and working as camp hosts in the spring and summer, they owned a second home in Arizona to escape the harsh Colorado winters and made many friends there. They are now forever together just as they were throughout their marriage.
Services will be held for both Jim and Sandy on February 10, 2023 at 11 am at Allnutt Funeral Service – Hunter Chapel, 2100 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland CO.
