Jim showed a remarkable talent and passion for the arts. Jim would follow his dreams and become an award-winning painter. He enjoyed painting the American West, its land, the people and the life within it. He would draw inspiration from the wonders of nature to create magnificent works of art. His journey would take him from the sweeping prairies of Nebraska, the crystal-clear waters of Flathead Lake, the granite peaks of the Black Hills, and finally, to the majestic beauty of the Rockies. He saw beauty in nature and went about bringing that to others with his lifetime of creating dazzling works of art. “I try to make my own personal statements on the world that I see. My ultimate goal is to leave the viewer with a bit of inspiration that I felt in the creation of my painting.” – Jim Whartman
