

Janis H. Frazier, born on January 2, 1934 daughter to Edythe and Harry Hanf, passed away on November 7, 2020 at 86 in Castle Rock, CO. Janis moved to Boulder, CO in 1968 after her marriage in 1963 to Elwyn R. Frazier in Las Gatos, CA and lived in Boulder until 1998, and then moved to Loveland, Colorado where she lived until 2016.
Janis was baptized in the First Baptist Church, and married in the Unitarian Church. Janis had a deep love for God, and the human spirit.
Janis graduated from San Jose State University. Janis had a passion for teaching, and enriching the lives of everyone. Janis loved family, and loved spending time with friends. She enjoyed entertaining, and used the gatherings as a means to bring others together. After ending her teaching career, Janis remained active in the community, President of the Boulder Philharmonic Society Board of Directors, Boulder County Y.M.C.A., and the Alice Jenkins Foundation.
Janis enjoyed being active physically, and loved reading. She often participated in local book clubs. She vacationed several places, but Sedona, AZ was one of her favorite destinations.
Janis was a kind and generous person. She loved her grand-children unconditionally, and delighted in the time she spent with them. She was vibrant, lively, and would go out of her way to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
Janis is survived by her sons, Scott and his wife, Chris of Castle Rock, Brian of Longmont; Brothers John David of Englewood, CO, Ken and wife Katie of Stitches Spain, her Sister Nancy and her husband Russel of San Jose, CA; and grandchildren Kimberly and Abigail of Castle Rock, Mia, Keller and Ronan of Longmont. She is predeceased by her husband Elwyn.
