JoAnn was a dog groomer for many years and loved sewing so much that after her family grew out of her need of making their clothes, she start a hobby making dolls clothes which turned into making dolls. All of her handmade dolls were special but her talent shown especially bright with her Indian themed dolls. JoAnn became a 4-H leader when her kids were young because of her love for animals and a special connection to horses.
Surviving are her children, Ernie Farris, Russ Farris, Eddie “Duke” Farris, Linnie Johnson; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Earl Roy Farris.
