John was born on November 2, 1977, in Butte, Montana, to Cecil Andrew Davisson Jr. and Linda Mae (Wassberg) Davisson. He spent his earliest years in Ramsey, Montana, before his family moved to Littleton, Colorado, and eventually settled in Loveland, the place he would call home for the rest of his life. John attended B.F. Kitchen Elementary School Thompson Valley High School.
After finishing school, John joined the U.S. Navy, where he served with honor until he was honorably discharged following a serious health scare. He returned home to Loveland to be close to and help care for his aging parents, a decision that spoke to his devotion to family.
John was a man of many trades and talents throughout his life, trying his hand at a wide range of work, but he took the most pride and patience in welding and in his time serving as a security guard. John was an avid gun-owner and was an excellent shot. He had a deep love for animals of every kind, and those who knew him best gave him a nickname that said it all: "Laughing Boy," a fitting tribute to his warmth and good humor.
John is survived by his father, Cecil Andrew Davisson Jr.; his sisters, Ann Rasmussen and Sarah Hebert; along with Nebula Styraciflua and her son Therin Beckman, Ashly Rasmussen, and Tre Rasmussen; and cousins Trish Pentecost and Sandra Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Davisson, and his sister, Catherine Davisson.
John will be remembered for his many talents, his tender care for his family, his love of animals, and the laughter he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him.
