Joshua Paul Daley, age 32, was born on Wednesday, March 2nd in the year 1988 to Tim B. And Mary A. Daley in Loveland, Colorado. He was the younger of their two children, with the first being Nicole C. (Scott), who is three years older.
Growing up in the Daley home, Josh loved Legos, panda bears and soccer. At age five, Joshua professed his belief in Jesus Christ as his Savior. Even in a structured Christian school environment, Josh remained genuine and understood the difference between religion and a personal relationship with Christ. As he got older, his interests turned to cars and music, but he never really lost his love for pandas. He loved to cruise around town, street race, and stay out with his friends and carouse late at night and into the early morning hours. He never missed getting home on time for his curfew, and you could usually hear the altered exhaust of his beloved Honda “hatch” some distance away, well before he actually arrived at home.
Josh may not have excelled in the realm of academia, but he excelled in forming personal relationships and was always there with a smile, a joke or to lend a helping hand. He worked great with his hands and was a gifted kinesthetic learner. Whether it was shaping a golf shot on the course or crafting an art project for school to working on finding out what made things work, Josh was creative and quality minded. He developed and learned to play the drums and also owned and played several guitars.
After working several mechanical types of jobs, Josh settled down a bit and got a “real job” at the United States Postal Service as a Rural Delivery Carrier, and met the love of his life, Nicole Lee Genevieve Hernandez. They married in 2013 and their family grew as they added their beloved Pit Bull Mix dog “Kimber.” The Hernandez family welcomed Josh with open arms, and he quickly became part of the family. Josh’s interests began to change and mature somewhat to reflect a newfound love of photography and working on preparing himself and family for these uncertain and volatile times for the future of our nation.
Josh also enjoyed fishing and began a small clothing distribution business called “Why We Train” and enjoyed designing, manufacturing and marketing t-shirts, hoodies and other apparel. On Saturday evening, September 19th, Josh went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is survived by wife of seven years, Nicole L.G. Hernandez of Severance, Colorado, his beloved dog Kimber, his parents, Tim and Mary Daley of Severance, Colorado, and his sister Nicole Christine (Scott) and nephew and niece Jack and Riley (Scott). In-laws including parents Paul and Kay Hernandez of Milliken, Colorado, and brothers Sam and Andrew Hernandez. Also surviving are his grandmothers Ruth E. Daley of Fort Collins, N. Gail Herd of Windsor, CO, and Nancy A. White of Edgewater, MD.
Joshua Paul Daley is preceded in death by his good friend, Matt Bliss of Fort Collins, Colorado who passed on to glory in 2004, and his Grandfathers Tim A. Daley of Fort Collins, Colorado and Thomas E. White of Edgewater, Maryland.
