Judy Rosemary Hancock, 86, of Loveland, passed away April 10, 2026. Born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Stuart Barlass and Mildred VanPatten Barlass. Judy attended school in Wauconda, Illinois, where she began forming the lifelong friendships and vibrant personality that would define her life.
Judy will be remembered for her joyful spirit and her many passions. She loved to dance and swim, and she had a special talent for bringing fun to even the simplest moments—whether it was through her excellent skills at a game of “Go Fish” or her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She was incredibly outgoing, welcoming, and personable, with a natural ability to make everyone feel included and supported.
Judy's warm and generous spirit whose kindness touched everyone she met, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, David Barlass, and her beloved nieces, Lea Dayton and Nancy McNutt.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hancock; and her siblings, Margie, Lori, Don and Pat.
