Karla Hruby, or how she would say, ‘Karla with a K!’ passed away at the age of 64. She was born October,1955 in Zanesville Ohio and was third daughter of the late Karl and Elfrieda ‘Irene’ Addy. The family relocated to Texas in 1971 where Karla graduated from Mesquite High School in 1973. She returned back to Ohio in 1976 and in July of 1986 married Larry Northrup, having two children Tyler and Spencer. In 1999 they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and made their home in the country. Karla later married Mike Hruby in July of 2008 making a life together in rural Loveland Colorado.
Karla worked early on as a child photographer, traveling throughout Ohio. She worked in real estate, but her passion took her to the medical field where she spent many years helping others in a variety of capacities. Karla had a big heart and was loved by everyone she met. Her bright smile always shined from deep inside. She was a devoted and loving Mother; always doing whatever was needed for her boys.
She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and volunteering with the local Meals on Wheels. Karla had a passion for babies. whenever, wherever there was a young one near, that was where her eyes would be focused. She was an avid animal lover forging a very special bond with her current pets ‘Little Kitty’ and Opie, as well as often speaking of some of her past dogs Misty and Annie. Karla enjoyed the little things in life like sitting on the deck watching the clouds in the sunset over the mountains as well as life’s more adventurous moments such as traveling throughout the west.
Karla is survived by her husband Mike Hruby of Loveland; Children Tyler (Tabitha) Northrup of Chehalis, Washington and Spencer Northrup of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Step-daughter Laura Hruby of Loveland, much loved grandchildren Amelia and Charlotte Northrup of Chehalis, Washington; two sisters, Denise 'Renee’ Addy and Candy (Jack) Frencho of Columbus, Ohio.
For those of us that her life touched, this world is now a little colder, but the warmth of her heart will shine through. Rest in peace our dear KK, we all love you.
