Larry LaRoy Manhart

May 8, 1951September 8, 2021

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Larry LaRoy Manhart, of Loveland, Colorado. Larry was called home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Larry passed away in his home after enjoying a full evening of laughter and games with friends and family.

Larry was born in Guymon Oklahoma to Leroy and Julia May Manhart in 1951. He grew up with his brother Jimmy Manhart and sister Judy Randa.

The family moved to Brighton Colorado when he was still a young boy. This is where he went to school and started many of his lifelong friendships. He graduated from Brighton High School, from there he went on to do some continued education at CSU.

He decided fairly early on that teaching in a classroom was not his path. For a time he worked several jobs, before moving into his lifelong career of sales and entrepreneurship. It was at the Keebler Cookie Company that he and our mother met. It did not take him long to realize that he would spend his life with her. Jeannette and Larry were married March 29, 1972 They have two children. Monik and Jay-Paul.

Larry loved people! He believed in them, even when they did not always believe in themselves. He was always there to help. He was known for his hugs.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother Julia May, father Leroy, and his sister Judy.

Larry is survived by his wife Jeannette, daughter Monik Clarke, son Jay-Paul Manhart, granddaughters Remi Clarke and Kizzy Manhart, grandson Deacon and his brother Jim Manhart.

God took the strength of a mountain, the majesty of a tree. The warmth of a summer sun, the calm of a quiet sea. The generous soul of nature, the comforting arm at night. The wisdom of the ages, the power of the eagle's flight. Then, God combined these qualities, there was nothing more to add. His masterpiece was now complete, He lovingly called it "Dad".

We love you dearly

He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by all who know and love him.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Manhart family.

You taught Gary and I so many wonderful things when you brought us under your wing at the commissary. But most of all my friend You taught us…
Friendship is a priceless gift that can’t be bought or sold because it’s value is far greater than a mountain full of gold for gold is cold and lifeless and cannot see nor hear and in times of trouble gold is powerless to cheer it has no ears to listen no heart to understand. when you need it most gold will never lend you a helping hand. So when we asked God for a gift we were thankful that He sent not diamonds pearls nor riches but you as our friend. We will miss you ,
but most of all your laughter your hugs and how you taught us to be kind.

So many years growing up together, so many fond and fun memories. Too many years of growing apart and so many opportunities to easily reconnect. It will, I now know, be one of the greatest regrets of my life.

When you roll - good, honest , positive, kind, thoughtful, great neighbor, friendly - all together - out comes Larry. Truly one of the best, top of the line person I have ever known. I will miss him. My heart and prayers for Jeannette and all family members. Larry was a true gift.

Larry, you were a kind & respectful man. I appreciated the friendship you had with my sister Elaine. You had so many good qualities, as stated by all your friends but your ability to make friends and keep them, showed the love you had in your heart. I wish we could have met for lunch but God had better plans for you. God bless your family & RIP my friend.

My friend for many years...i actually do not remember when we met. I feel like i have been part of your loving family my whole life.
You always have the positive words of wisdom, comforting words and presence with those eyes that share so much compassion. Hugs that give strength.
Over the years i have been honored to stay at your home when traveling and what a great time you and Jannette have shown me. I will always remember the tour of the burritos factory. The pride you took and how you took the time to answer all my questions...well except the recipe. Lol!
The massage chair was another fun memory for me. Most of all was the talks and the hugs. When i was myself battling cancer your voice had a calming effect. When i faced a divorce you gave me hope. When you and your wonderful wife came and stayed at my humble home i was so honored. I love you both..i love you all!
Rest in peace my friend!

Larry was a close friend of my family
He once hired me to embroider garments for his Burrito business
The last time I seen him was at LaRaye's wedding, shortly after losing my son Anthony and he was so sweet and made me laugh
He will be missed
