A funeral service for Laura Jean Wimber - Vigil, 42, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Allnutt Funeral Service, Loveland.
Mrs. Vigil passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. Born in 1976, she was a daughter of Richard Lee Wimber and Susan Ann Davis of Pueblo. Laura attended South Park Elementary School and South High School of Pueblo. She went on to Truck Driving Trade School and was the owner/operator of Dragon Fire Trucking. On November 7, 2011 she married the love of her life Eli Vigil in Colorado Springs. Their dream was to take supplies and food to people involved in disasters. Above everything else, Laurie loved being with her family. Her children were her life. She was a generous person and would help anyone she could. Laurie loved adventure was up for anything. She enjoyed camping, walking on the beach, going to concerts, playing in the water, dressing up for Halloween and decorating for the holidays.
In addition to her husband and parents, surviving are her stepmother, Vanessa Wimber; sons, Steven (Andria) Vigil of Colorado Springs, Marcos (Connie) Vigil of Colorado Springs, Lawrence Vigil of Johnstown, Evan Vigil of Johnstown; daughter, Kiren Wimber of Johnstown; brother, Eric Wimber of Loveland, brother-in-law, Bernie Jr. Vigil; sister-in-law, Annette Vigil; step sisters, Janessa Gallegos of Pueblo, Vanessa Anderson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tiffany Sanchez, of Pueblo; grandchildren, Amaiya Vigil, Cruz Vigil, Anevay Vigil, Zayne Vigil, Jackson Vigil; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her mother and father in-law, Ida and Bernie Vigil.
Laura was predeceased by her cousin, Melanie Smith; grandparents, Mary and George Davis and Nina and Richard Wimber.
