Lora Lee Volwiler-Stein

Lora Lee Volwiler-Stein age 49 lost her 12 year battle with Cancer August 18, 2020. Lora was born December 30, 1970 to Dennis and Oralee (Johnson) Volwiler at Plainview, NE. She grew up on the family farm southeast of Plainview. She attended school in Plainview graduating in 1989. While in school she was in band and speech. She went to Central Community College at Columbus for 2 years, 1 year at Kanas Wesleyan, then to University of Northern Colorado getting her BA of fine arts. She worked several jobs in Greeley, Fort Collins, and Westminster, CO. While living in Fort Collins she took a passion for several genres of dance starting with Belly Dance and took many classes and performed on stage on occasionally.

She met the love of her life Math Stein in Fort Collins on November 1, 2005. He was her faithful supporter all through her Cancer treatments.

Lora is survived by her husband Math Stein, mother Oralee Volwiler of Plainview, NE, Sister Denise Volwiler of Lincoln NE, aunts Marie (AL) Zimmermann and Sandra Johnson of Olympia, WA, Jacque (Joe) Hamlin of Plattsmouth NE, and mother and father in law Vanda and Paul Newman of Loveland CO, Scott Stein and family of Oregon, and many friends.

Proceeding Lora in death is her Father Dennis Volwiler, infant sister and infant brother, maternal Grandparents Rev. Paul and Bee (Wilson) Johnson, paternal Grandparents Gilbert and LaVon (Knaak) Volwiler, Aunt Judith Susanne Hamlin.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
