Lyle Elston Braden was born on August 17th 1939, in Shelbyville, Illinois to Lora E. and Harry H. Braden. He is survived by his wife Janet, sons Alex and wife Charmagne, Ross and wife Nathalie, as well as his five Grandchildren Isabel, Kiante, Dante, Ajani and Kamalei.
Lyle moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado while in High School and graduated from Fort Collins High. After high school he served four years in the United States Air Force from which he was honorably discharged.
After leaving the United States Air Force he attended Colorado State University. While at CSU he met his wife Janet who was also a student. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts he went to work for Hewlett Packard in both their Loveland and Ft. Collins divisions.
After leaving Hewlett Packard to pursue his love of painting as an independent artist he created both landscapes and abstract paintings. Later Lyle worked at Johnson Publishing, and at Friendly Pawn where he was well liked and respected by staff and customers alike.
After retirement Lyle enjoyed working part time at the pawn shop, reading and spending time in the summer at the family cabin in Wyoming. He will be remembered as a kind, friendly person who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.
