

Marcia Sue Burianek, a longtime resident of Loveland, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, in Loveland, just four days before her birthday. She was born on September 7, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois, to Adelaide (née Krebill) Andres and Carl Andres.
Marcia grew up in Peoria and later attended Elmhurst College in Illinois, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in music. She began her teaching career as a second-grade teacher in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Around 1970, Marcia and her family moved to Denver, Colorado, where she continued to share her love of music by teaching piano for many years. She also served as a church organist, a role she cherished and continued until 2012.
Marcia married Gary Burianek on August 7, 1960, and together they shared more than six decades of marriage and a life filled with family, music, faith, and travel. She especially enjoyed traveling throughout England and Europe, creating memories that remained special to her.
In 2012, Marcia and Gary moved to Good Samaritan Loveland Village, where they continued their life together in the Loveland community.
Marcia's memory will be lovingly cherished by her husband, Gary Burianek; her sons, Daniel Burianek and James Burianek; her sister, Carol Andres; her grandchildren, Brianne, Kayla, and Nathan; and her great-grandchildren, Zadyn, Haidin, and Amiaih.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adelaide and Carl Andres, and her sister, Audrey Stees.
Marcia's love of music and service to her church were important parts of her life. In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Pipe Organ Maintenance Fund at First United Presbyterian Church, 400 E. 4th St., Loveland, CO 80537.
Marcia will be remembered for the love she gave her family, her dedication to teaching and music, her faith, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
