She was born on April 21, 1926 in Barre, New York to Lawrence A. and Ethel M. (Parke) Williams. Marion was raised and attended schools in the Albion, NY area. On December 1, 1946 she married Ernest A. “Bud” West, who predeceased her in 1990.
Marion lived most of her life in Orleans County in New York State. As a young woman, she was employed as a bookkeeper at Eastman Kodak in Rochester. She and her husband owned and operated several businesses in Holley and Kendall, NY. She enjoyed being a substitute school bus driver in Kendall, and later became a real estate agent with an office in Brockport, NY. She and Bud enjoyed wintering in Zephyr Hills, Florida.
In 1991 she married John D. Miles of Hamilton, Ontario Canada. They lived part time in Ontario and part time in Zephyr Hills, FL, until his death in 2007. Marion moved to Loveland, Colorado in 2009, to be nearer to some of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Surviving her are 5 children: Jacquelyn (Arthur) Kaminski of Brockport, NY; Daniel (Ellen) West of Loveland, Colorado; Deborah (John) Poprawski) of Morton, NY; Ernest West of Loveland, and Lawrence West of Colorado Springs; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
