Mark Alan Schacht, 57, of Berthoud, Colorado, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Berthoud Living Center. He was born on August 6, 1968, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to William Pat Schacht and Jean Robinson Schacht.
Mark pursued his passion for mechanics by training at Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, where he earned an Associate degree as an auto mechanic. He went on to put those skills to use at a farm machinery shop in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and later worked as a technician at a funeral home, demonstrating his willingness to serve others in some of life's most meaningful moments.
After a year in Klamath Falls, Mark made his way to Tacoma, Washington, to be near his brother, Jim Schacht, before eventually settling in Loveland, Colorado, to be close to his sister, Susan Dwyer. As his health declined over the years, Mark moved to Berthoud Living Center, where he resided for the remainder of his life.
Mark is survived by his father, William Pat Schacht; his sisters, Susan Dwyer of Loveland and Diane Avenoso of Portland, Oregon; and his brother, Jim Schacht.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Robinson Schacht.
Those closest to Mark will miss him sorely.
