

She was born to Paul and Bessie Foehring February 23, 1942 in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Kay lived the early part of her life building a family in Des Moines Iowa where she had five children. She later relocated to Silverthorne Colorado, Arvada, Colorado and ultimately planted roots in Loveland, Colorado with her husband of 30 years, Wes Troutman.
Kay had a heart of gold and touched everyone who came into her life with her positivity, cultured demeanor, and soft heart. She had a love for animals, the mountains, beautiful art, classical music, and travel. One of her favorite places was Ana Maria Island, Florida, where she was able to visit in 2024 with her family. Kay found peace in the little things, a sprouting flower in the spring, a peaceful morning on her deck with her golden retriever, and a phone call from her grandchildren. Kay spent her later years present in the Loveland community, donating her time to meals on wheels, where she made many connections great memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and forever loved.
She is survived, by her four children, Krista, Cami, Tony(Jill), Christine, 15 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Ray Schlicher and Palmer Spadafora, and Wes Troutman, son Jeff, son Ray, her parents, and her brother Paul Foehring.
A celebration of life will be held, October 12, 2026 at 11 o’clock at Ellis Ranch. 2331 Ellis Ranch Ln, Loveland, CO 80538.
