Muriel “Jeanette” Ericson Moser Halley was born on September 7, 1920 in Sidney, NE to Carl Oscar Wilhelm Ericson and Selina Gertrude Lundberg Ericson. She moved to Loveland, CO in 1932 where her parents owned and operated a potato chip factory in their home. During her school years, she made many friends that were still friends until her death.
Jeanette, “a city girl” married William Moser in April 1939 and moved to Johnstown where they lived and farmed the Moser family farm until 1961. “The city girl” and her family moved back to Loveland, CO where Willie died in January 1978. Jeanette was employed by Hewlett Packard in Loveland from 1961 until 1982 where she loved the job and the people.
She remarried in November 1985 to Q.V. Halley and lived in Greeley, CO where he died in June 2000. She remained in Greeley until 2004 and moved back to Loveland. Jeanette treated her step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren as her own.
Jeanette moved to Timnath, CO in 2007 and lived with daughter Billye and son-in-law Mark until her death.
After her retirement, she travelled the world from China, Russia, Scandinavia, Europe, and Turkey to New Zealand and Australia. She was very passionate about bowling, golfing and playing pool. She also enjoyed horseshoes where many grandchildren lost to her.
Jeanette was the mother of six daughters: Beth Ann Moser Tanner, deceased Dec 20, 2005 (Mil), Beryl Jeanne Moser Farris (Bob), Sharon Kay Moser Jost (Terry), Barbara Genee Moser Gilstrap (Gordon), Billye Lynn Moser (Mark Salli), Bonnie Sue Moser (stillborn). These unions created 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and her daughter Beth.
After a brief, very serious illness, Jeanette left this world on November 2, 2018 in Loveland, CO. She is survived by those mentioned above.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Allnutt Reception Center in Loveland. A memorial in Jeanette's name is being established to benefit local charities to be determined at a later date. Contributions can be sent to Allnutt Funeral Service, 2100 N.
