Myrna Seaton McIntosh, 91, of Loveland, passed away August 4, 2026. Born in Marietta, Minnesota, on July 16, 1935, the only child of Thelma and Roger Seaton, Myrna grew up near Kansas City. While studying at the University of Kansas, she met Terry McIntosh; they married in 1957.
Myrna and Terry began their careers as teachers in Kansas, moving to Loveland, Colorado, in 1961. Myrna believed deeply in the potential of every child and worked to make learning joyful and accessible. She brought stories to life by creating her own puppets and writing original scripts to perform for students across the Loveland area.
Volunteering was a lifelong passion for Myrna. She was a member of P.E.O., former Philo president, Library Board member, and Read Aloud Loveland volunteer. She and Terry sang in the First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir and championed local arts, including the Loveland Opera Theatre.
Myrna and Terry raised two children, Sara (Christopher Dale) and Randall (Amy Stewart), and cherished their two granddaughters. Family life, school activities, and community events were central to Myrna’s days. She attended the high school sports her husband coached, showing steady support for students and athletes.
Remembered as "sunshine in human form," Myrna's devotion to children, community service, music, and family leaves a lasting legacy of kindness and joy in Loveland.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 4, 2026, at 12:30 pm at First United Methodist Church, 533 Grant Ave., Loveland, Colorado 80537.
