Najette Tollefsrud, 70, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She was born on February 16, 1955 in Morroco to Claude and Sadia Ropero.
Najette married Dwaine Tollefsrud on December 22, 1976.
Najette’s family was her life and she dedicated herself to being the best mother. She enjoyed hiking in the Black Hills with her husband and spending time in her garden. She was an amazing cook and made many amazing meals. She was the kindest person that was always willing to help others. She never met a stranger and made a friend out of everyone that she met.
Najette is survived by her husband, Dwaine Tollefsrud of Rapid City, South Dakota; daughter, Jenny McGinnis of Fort Collins, Colorado; son, Erik Tollefsrud of Kihei, Maui, Hawaii; sister, Rita Spurlock; brothers, Jean-Pierre Ropero and Jerome Ropero both of Paris, France and granddaughter, Mila McGinnis of Fort Collins.
She was preceded in death by Amanda Watts, Doris Tollefsrud, Selvin Tollefsrud and her parents.
