Patricia Sherrell Magee (Sutton) was born on July 20, 1934. Her parents: father Carroll Henry Sutton, mother Irma Catherine Sutton (Clifford), and younger siblings: sister Connie Carolyn Hediger (Sutton) and brother Clifford Carroll Sutton preceded her in death. She was named after her mother's best friend, Patricia Magee, which is ironic in that she married a Magee! Her middle name is after her father. She was very active in school, sports and girl scouts. Her love of music was strong and it really blossomed in high school. She sang in the A Capella choir at South High School and was the pep club treasurer. She went on to college and earned an Associate Degree in business. She met Howard Magee on a blind date, and he swept her off her feet with his Southern charm. They married and had four children: Howard Randall (Randy) Magee, Steven (Steve) Michael Magee, Glen Carl Magee, and Cathryn (Cathy) Cheryl Magee. Each one of her children's middle names ended in the letter "L" to carry on a family tradition. She divorced Howard and never remarried. She worked and would ride the bus to downtown Denver everyday and never missed the opportunity to meet people. She loved all people. Her careers consisted of: ice cream and soda bar clerk, bank teller, bookkeeper and vice president for the family business, Volunteers of America, adult daycare, Alzheimer Caregiver (where she earned the 1995 Regional award for exemplary care), and she was an advocate for the homeless. She had no problem giving food and socks to the homeless on Broadway under I-25 or in City Park. In her free time she loved gardening, adventures in nature, and games like chicken foot dominoes and uno with her grandkids. Mountain trails with a nearby creek or bubbling stream was heaven to her. She is survived by her aforementioned children, along with 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is known as Mom Magee and Grandma Magee to many of her children’s and grandchildren’s friends who acquired and adopted her as such. Always a smile on her face, joy in her heart, and will be missed dearly. She is soaring high and free from earth's bounds. Free in her Love of Christ. "Oh what a celebration there will be in Heaven." There will be a visitation service on Friday October 4, 2019 at Allnutt Funeral Service 2100 N. Lincoln, Loveland, Colorado 80538 from 5pm to 7pm.
