

Paul Ehrlich, age 89, passed away May 29, 2026, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born on November 2, 1936, in Greeley, Colorado, Paul was the son of Jacob Ehrlich and Katharina Miller Ehrlich. He was raised in a large and loving family alongside his eight siblings: Clarence, Swede, Ralph, Erma, Elda Kopp, Rachel Kaveny, Walter, and Jake Ehrlich.
Paul graduated from Greeley High School in 1954. That same year, he married Tamara Boehm, and together they began building a family. During their years together, they were blessed with three children: Chris Ehrlich, Camille Ehrlich Rye, and Les Ehrlich (Terry Ann).
Following high school, Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army as a helicopter and airplane repairman. He later pursued higher education, graduating from Colorado State University in 1970 with a degree in Engineering.
Paul was an entrepreneur, builder, and innovator. Throughout his career, he owned businesses in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as Berthoud and Fort Collins, Colorado. Paul constructed multiple homes in Fort Collins and Loveland, leaving a tangible legacy throughout Northern Colorado. His inventive spirit also led to the achievement of receiving a United States patent.
Nothing brought Paul greater pride than his family. He is survived by his children, Chris Ehrlich, Camille Ehrlich Rye, and Les Ehrlich (Terry Ann); a brother, Clarence Ehrlich; his grandchildren, Melanie Gilbertson (Jason), Tiffany Paulus (Ben), and two additional grandchildren; his great-grandchildren, Ashley Gilbertson, Carter Gilbertson, Lance Gilbertson, Everett Paulus, Kaci Paulus, and two additional great-grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew him
