Robert (Bob) Warren Richardson was born June 9, 1927 to Ward and Lucy Richardson in Louviers, CO and died on January 23, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY.
Bob enlisted in the Navy in June 1945 and served in the Asia-Pacific Theater in World War II until August 1946. He attended Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado where he received a BA degree in 1951. Bob earned a Masters degree from Kansas State Teachers College in 1964. He taught school in Kansas for 36 years and was Technical Education Dept. Chairman at Wichita South High School for 30 years and retired in 1987.
Bob enjoyed working with wood and made numerous items for the Loveland Elks Lodge where he was a member for over 20 years. He was chosen Elk of the Year in 1997-1998. Bob was also a member of Mountain View Presbyterian Church. Bob resided at Sugar Valley Estates in Loveland for many years.
Bob married Maxine DeGraff on December 12, 1952. He is survived by two daughters, Diana Richardson of Littleton CO and Vicki Taylor and her husband Larry of Escondido, CA; grandson Chris Taylor, his wife Chelsea, great granddaughter Aria of Escondido, CA; granddaughter Katie Collins and her husband Jeff of Tucson, AZ; and a brother, Buck, of Cedaredge, CO.
Cremation has taken place. Due to the request of the deceased, there are no services planned. Please remember him as a good husband, father and friend.
