Robert M. Torrez, 66 of Berthoud, passed away on May 6, 2023. He was born November 8, 1956 in Mead, Colorado to Manuel and Lucinda Torres. He graduated from Niwot High School, then attended Aims Community College. His first job out of school was with Colorado Stone in Longmont, Colorado. Rob changed his vocation to automotive mechanic in 1975 beginning with Al Will Buick of Longmont. He then transitioned to foreign car repair at Valley Nissan and Subaru in Longmont. He trained with Nissan out of Denver and San Francisco obtaining his Master Certified Technician status with Nissan. In 1996 Rob opened “Rob’s Import Motors” and ran a successful business for 16 years and continued working in the automotive field until very recently.
Rob loved spending time with his grandchildren, going on motorcycle rides, fishing, hunting, and always keeping busy with his many side projects. He was loved by many, especially his family. He is survived by his wife, Kelly, his daughters, Alison Martin (Jacob), Jaime Osterlund (Matthew), 3 grandchildren, Hayley, Rhys, and Gwendolyn, and 2 great-grandchildren, Kinsleigh and Braeleigh.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to the “Chief Crazy Horse” memorial in South Dakota.
