She was born March 16, 1941, to Ervin and Inez Busig in Sterling, Colorado and was raised near Pawnee Pass on a ranch that was homesteaded by her grandfather. Living on the ranch gave Roberta many skills. She was hard-working and determined, and she had a deep love of horses that continued throughout her life. In fact, she actually rode her horse to a one room schoolhouse.
She met her husband and best friend, Bruce, in Sterling Colorado and the two were married on June 30, 1981. They shared a loving journey of 43 years.
She became a master gardener and shared this skill with her family and friends, creating beautiful gardens. Roberta was also an amazing seamstress, cook and baker. Her family will attest to all of this. She was a full-time homemaker raising two children. As Mike and Stacey got older Roberta worked in the banking industry.
Bruce and Roberta have been living in the Loveland community for the past 20 years. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Roberta is survived by her husband Bruce, daughter Stacey (Charlie) Novak, son Mike (Joni) Oswald, stepson Greg (Connie) Bryden, her grandchildren Sydney Buhr, Kellen Buhr, Morgan Ransom, Kyle Oswald, Kate Oswald, Amber Wilhelm, Gavin Bryden and Blake Bryden, and a great grandchild Elijah Ransom.
A celebration of life to honor Roberta will be held October 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Allnutt Funeral Service – Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave in Loveland.
