Sondra Dawn Petrie

Sondra Dawn Petrie was a truly unique individual who always marched to the beat of her own drum, and honestly, it was a much better beat anyway. On September 12, 2026, at the age of 56, she closed her eyes to this world, leaving a lasting legacy of love and laughter.

Sondra’s journey began on August 10, 1970, in California. Born to Lorna and (nee Parke) Larry Kaiser, together they raised her with endless devotion and love.

To say Sondra was one of a kind is an understatement. She was passionately funny, fiercely loving, and delightfully, unapologetically quirky. She had a massive heart and cared deeply about everyone she met. Over the years, she welcomed many different animals into her home, holding a very special soft spot in her heart for cats. When she wasn’t admiring her favorite crystals or sharing a laugh, she was pouring her soul into the people around her. Sondra didn't believe love was limited by blood; she leaves behind many special people who she loved deeply as her chosen family.

Above all else, nothing in the universe held a candle to her kids and grandkids. Her family was her entire world, and she loved them unconditionally. While her bright energy will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is having a joyful, long-awaited reunion with her husband, David.

Sondra’s beautiful spirit remains with her family. She is survived by her parents, Lorna and Larry. Her love will forever be carried by her children, Cassandra, Kyra, Joshua, and Justin. She was the fiercely proud and adoring grandmother of Riley, Jordan, Leland, Aalyiah, Brock, Ayla, and Delilah, each of whom she loved more than words could ever say.
