Steve was born on November 7, 1957, in Colorado.
In 1973, he met Larene, and they wed in 1976, going on to have two beautiful daughters, Melissa and Laurisa. There was nothing in the world more important to Steve than his family. He was a proud father and grandfather to his two grandsons, Kris and Cooper.
Steve was also passionate about building hot rods and could often be found in his garage, restoring his next project and enjoying listening to the blues in the background. Steve taught himself how to work on cars, and in his last days, had said his favorite car he had ever owned was a 1955 Chevy 2 door handyman.
When not in the garage, Steve could be found with his buddies fishing in every part of beautiful Colorado. Steve was a prolific fisherman bringing a river of brown trout home to cook for his family.
Anyone who knew Steve knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Stephen was predeceased by his mother, Alma Fling, beloved mother-in-law, Lee McLaughlin, and many other family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Larene Fling, daughters Melissa Fling and Laurisa Fling-Viviers, their families, extended family, and many long term friends.
There will be a funeral service at Allnutt Funeral Services in Loveland, CO, on Thursday, January 21, 2020, at 10 am.
