Wanda was raised in Lake Charles her whole life where she attended school. She did not graduate as she was a very extravagant young woman and begin having children at an early age. Wanda had 5 children, 1 boy named Derrick, and 4 beautiful girls she named Santana, Carrie, Sherri, and Derrick.
Wanda never married but met the love of her life, Jose Guajardo, which she stayed with for over 15 years. Wanda and Jose were a pair that was unbreakable, she made sure if you bought something for her you were buying for Jose too.
Wanda was a different type of person, she spoke what was on her mind and dared you to disagree with her, she was a fighter, and one of the only people in the world that could pat an officer down and not be arrested. Wanda had love for many people, and many people had love for her but if you crossed her, she did not care who you were she would fight you but would dare anyone else to try.
Wanda's memories are left to be cherished by her long-term spouse, Jose Guajardo of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her children, Santana Godfrey (Daniel Godfrey), Derrick Brown, Jasmine Brown, Sherri Brown, and Carrie Brown, all of Lake Charles; her siblings, Marvin Jackson, Lawrence Brown, Vunita Brown, Doris Francis, Barbara Morton (Corvin Morton), Pamela Moore (Rodger Moore), Carolyn Renthrope, Belinda Faye Brown, all of Lake Charles; and her grandchildren, Asainey Edwards, LaDaisha Godfrey, Daniel "Papi" Godfrey, Khrystin Moss, Ayainne Ceaser, Ebonni Ceaser, Anthony Amos, and Brelyn Fontenot all of Lake Charles.
Alongside her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her brother Tony Brown of Lake Charles.
Final resting place is Combre Memorial Park, 2701 Opelousas St, Lake Charles.
