William “Willie” Mark Martinez born on March 4, 1962, in Loveland, CO to Victoria Velasquez and Joe Martinez, passed away on July 29, 2021 from Multiple Myeloma, in Loveland, CO. He married Emily on March 16, 2019. He is survived by his son, Jeremy Martinez, and his grandson, Rian Martinez, of Branson, MO; his siblings, James Martinez, Leonard Wetzler, Leno Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Junior Valasquez, Beverly Carter, Billie Jo Helt, Jenny Wetzler, and Miranda Bazaldua. William is preceded in death by his mother, Victoria A. Velasquez and his father, Joe A. Martinez.
He was a huge NASSCAR Fan (19), Broncos Fan and an avid fisherman. He loved his classic country to rock and roll. A day full of music was a normal day. He went to Loveland High where he played football as a kicker. He coached for the LYAA Football in the early 2000’s.
Willie started drywall at the young age of 17 years old and worked at it off and on for 40 years.
His happiest times were when he was working and hanging drywall with his brothers. He was a co-owner with 2 brothers in drywall with the company C&J Drywall. Willie worked on may jobs through-out Northern Colorado. One of his fondest memories is fishing in the Poudre Canyon with his brothers and cousins.
He was a good father and grandfather, uncle and brother. He was a loving husband.
He was a peacemaker.
Willie loved to tease and make people laugh but also considered their feelings.
People were attracted to him because of his warm heart and sense of humor.
Willie was a very simple man with a gentle soul, and he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
