Barbara Jane Alameda

Barbara was born in the City of Oakland, the seventh child to Joseph Silva and Ella May Lester. In 1981 she graduated from Contra Costa College with a degree in Early Childhood Development and proudly went on to run her own daycare in theCity of Pinole where she made her home until retiring to Clearlake in 1990. Barbara passed away on Wednesday January29, 2014 at the age of 82. She is survived by her four children,Claire, Tammy and husband Ken, Vince and wife Tammy, Geneand wife Cynthia; and her 8 grand children DJ, Vince Jr., Rhiannon, Johney, Anthony, Tony, Joseph and Adam. She will forever be remembered and missed for her strong will and theindependent life she so embodied.

A memorial service is being planned for friends and family at the Clearlake Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 3931 Pine Ave. Saturday February 22, 2014 at 2:00. Barbara’s wishes were to be interned with family at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland.
