

Robert Morris Rowe entered into rest on December 17, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. Bob joined us in life on August 17, 1948, in Trenton, NJ. His parents were Morris Yerkes Rowe and Emma Elizabeth Tomlinson, both of Pennsylvania. In 1966, he graduated from Cedar Cliff Senior High School in Camp Hill, PA.
In 1968, during the Vietnam War, Bob enlisted in the US Air Force. He was stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base on the California Central Coast where he served on the 6596th Instrumentation Squadron tracking and repairing satellites and radar systems. After an honorable discharge in 1972, Bob became a heavy equipment mechanic specializing in forklifts and hydraulics.
In 1972, he married Mercedes (Merci) Asinas in Santa Maria, CA. Their daughter, Jennifer, was born in 1977. He was employed by Boeing and Westinghouse as an engineer. He married Micki Powell in 1996, and they moved to Clearlake, CA, where he resumed work as a forklift and hydraulic mechanic. He retired in 2012 and remained in Clearlake.
Bob's interests and hobbies included being with friends and watching sports, reading, photography, and woodworking. He also enjoyed doing his own home and car repairs. He will be remembered for his intelligence and wit.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Stanley, her husband Michael, and their son Gregory, of North Hollywood, CA; sister Margie O'Connor (Andy) of Aberdeen, MD; brother Tom Rowe (Suzanne) of Harrisburg, PA; former wife Merci Rowe of Santa Maria, CA; and former wife Micki Powell of San Diego, CA.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday January 5, 2017 at 10am at Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel FD 800, Lower Lake, CA. Inurnment to follow at Lower Lake Cemetery.
