Tini was born on May 5th, 1934 in Moca of the Dominican Republic, to Mario Esteban Contreras and Maria Paulino.
Later in life, she immigrated to the U.S. with some of her family. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include a son, Ernesto Vazquez and his wife Becky of Lubbock; a granddaughter, Julie Vazquez of Abilene; 2 brothers, Luis and Heminio; and 5 sisters, Ricci, Dora, Yuli, Margo and Paula.
