Alfredo "Freddy" Zuniga Luera

Alfredo (Freddy) Zuniga Luera, 80, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on July 9, 2018, while surrounded by his family.

He was born to Sostenes and Paulina Luera on August 14, 1937 in Yorktown, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and four siblings and is survived by wife, Paula (Pauline) Castilleja of 10 years; a son; a daughter and step-children; 12 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren.

Freddy was a very active parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, as an usher for many years. He retired from H&H Trailers after 23 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

I did not know my Uncle Freddy very well but when I was around him, he was so precious, gracious, and a loving uncle. I feel like I look like him! He did serve the Lord until the end. Rest in peace. God has gained an angel.
