Alma Jean “Grannie” Ivey, 78, of Lubbock, passed away on April 20, 2011. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 1:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Grannie was born September 15, 1932 in Britain, TX to parents Betty and Albert Countryman.
Survivors include three daughters: Betty, Patricia, and Carol; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommie Ivey; two children: Deborah and Albert; and a brother, Alton.
