Angelina Boyajian Moses, age 99, of Lubbock, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 11, 2022. On June 10, 1956, she married Sadallah Moses and together they moved to Lubbock, TX where they opened multiple stores in several West Texas cities, including The Famous Department Store.
Angelina is predeceased by both of her parents, her husband Sadallah Moses, her twin sister Nellie (Alfred) Boyajian Gennaway, her niece Elizabeth Gennaway, and her nephew Edward (Helen) Isaac. May they reunite in Heaven peacefully.
She is survived by her sister Helen (Edward) Boyajian Isaac, her nieces and nephews Charles (Georgette) Isaac, Deloris (George) Abdelnour, Richard (Alice Jane) Isaac, Lawrence Isaac, Barbara (Joseph) Gennaway Palfreyman, Janice Gennaway, Tina Isaac, George (Carolyn) Isaac, Edward (Murvat) Musa, Rita Mousa, Jack (Barbara) Mousa, Chayn Mousa, and Elizabeth Mousa. Angelina adored her great nieces and nephews Emily (Vincent) Cani, Erica (Alistair) Matthewson, Sarah Musa, Helaina Musa, and Jake Musa. They will all miss her dearly.
Angelina was a kind wife, aunt, sister, and friend to many. She was a phenomenal woman who worked at the Naval Air Base in Corpus Christi, TX during WWII, attended college at The University of Texas at Austin, taught English in Mexico City, Mexico, and traveled the world with her husband and friends. For over 50 years, Angelina and her husband enjoyed selling bridal gowns and tuxedos, baptismal and first communion accessories, quinceanera gowns, coronation capes, and handmade bouquets together at The Famous.
Angelina’s beautiful soul lit up every room she walked into, and she will always be remembered as the remarkable and spunky woman she was. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children, and she will forever be a strong, kind role model for her great nieces and nephews. May we all be so lucky to live as long, and as fully as Angelina Moses.
