

away peacefully at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, TX.
Anna was born on a family ranch in San Ignacio, NM on January, 15, 1942 to the late Augustine and Isabel Valencia. Her family later move to Roswell, NM, where she received her education. On January, 10, 1959 she married the late Frank Lozano Saiz, and together during his military career they traveled and lived in many scenic parts of the world including, Germany and Alaska. Their union was blessed by four children. Anna was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
During her life she was actively engaged in various activities and hobbies. One of her most notable hobbies was growing and caring for her houseplants and garden. She even received a 1st place ribbon for her fern at the South Plains Fair. Anna was a lover of music; some of her favorite music artists were Neil Diamond and John Cougar Mellencamp. Many people who knew Anna in her younger days would often comment on how her beauty and sense of style resembled that of Jackie O. Beautiful Anna leaves many legacies to her beloved family. She was a woman of great faith and incredible strength. She taught her children to be kind, generous and polite. She will always be remembered by her contagious laugh.
Anna is survived by her four children: Ronald Saiz (Emily) of Lubbock, TX, Sandra Martinez of
Evans, CO, Frank Saiz (Elvira) of Lubbock, TX and Sharon Martinez (Raymond) of Lubbock, TX; four sisters: Marcey Barrera of Colton, CA, Connie Madrid of Roswell, NM, Antonia Nunez of Roswell, NM, and Katy Jimenez of Wyle, TX; one brother, Raymond Valencia of Richardson, TX; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Santiago, Raleigh and Cristino Valencia.
Her children would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff of Garrison Geriatric Education Center and Covenant Hospital for the loving care they gave to their mother.
