God Bless You My Son on this special day---your birthday, you are so deeply missed!

I am so saddened to hear of Arnold's death.  I was searching for him and Rosie to invite them to our church's 50th anniversary.  Arnold and his wife Rosie were very good friends of mine during high school.  Those were the best years of my life.  I love you both, and Rosie I send my deepest sympathy.

I like His "Effective AWK Programming". Thank God Arnold wrote it.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Robbins.  I was in his first class at Wheelock and ended up having him the next year also.  Almost 30 years (and lots of school) later, I can still say he had the biggest impact of all my teachers and I loved him dearly.  For years, I would stop by the school just to catch up with him.  I have thought of him often after leaving Lubbock and very much regret I didn't stay in contact.  He was an amazing man who left an incredible legacy.  He will be missed!

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  My family and I were truly blessed to have met such a wonderful and caring man.  He was one of my all-time favorite teachers. Mr. Robbins made learning science so much fun.  My daughter has the honor of going to school with his wife and I can only hope she will one day have a teacher just like Mr. Robbins.

Mr Robbins was a phenomenal teacher and human being.  The world is a little dimmer now without his light.

There aren't words to express what a wonderful influence this man was.I was in the first class he had at Wheelock Elementary and he touched my life. He made me so excited to learn and he taught me that I have a voice. I loved him and loved him still. Twenty-four years after teaching me...he taught my son and Josh adored him as well. I remember how proud he was when I became a teacher and how he encouraged me when I became an administrator. He truly, truly deserved to have a long retirement and a long, long life and I am so sorry he didn't get to enjoy that more. Mr. Robbins was a wonderful teacher and friend to me over the years. I met him when he taught my older sister Mary and I was in Kindergarden and couldnt wait til it would be my turn to be in his class! He made school,especially science, so much fun! And i went back every year to Wheelock to see him until he left. I babysat the girls for him and Rosie on several occasions and it was such a compliment to know he trusted me that much.I will never forget him or rocket club, black magic, OM, disecting a sheep eye, his baby blue VW Bug, his laugh, his smile, the talks we had as adults and how proud he was of me when I become a nurse, him asking me to stop calling him Mr Robbins and just call him Arnold (which i just couldnt do!), and I could go on and on. I will miss him and my thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and students who loved him.

Mr. Robbins was a good man and clearly was a positive influence and a benevolent presence in the lives of so many students, friends, coworkers and in his own family. Reading story after story about how he encouraged and nurtured so many of us speaks volumes about the kind of man Mr. Robbins was. I'll always be grateful for his kindness, practical advice and sense of humor. All of my very best to the Robbins family, I'll always remember him as a mentor and fatherly figure who was kind to all.

Mr. Robbins taught myself and my older sister. He was by far one of our favorite teachers. He gave me a love for science, learning and teaching that I will forever be grateful for. He was a teacher that sincerely cared, not only about us as individuals but also in regards to our learning. I always felt welcomed and cared for in his class. OUTSTANDING teacher and influence!  Having two attend Wheelock, our family was twice blessed.  And Hooray for  Rocket Club! It was a favorite of many. Only the Lord knows the tremendous influence of this humble giving man.

My prayers are with all of the family and friends right now. I wanted you to know how much I cared for and respected Mr. Robbins. I was in his first class at Wheelock. He taught us so much but made it fun and enjoyable. He was my all time favorite teacher and was so honored and excited when he also got to be my oldest two sons teacher as well. He was also their favorite teacher. He was a friend in later years and told me to stop calling him Mr.Robbins and to call him Arnold but I told him he would always be Mr.Robbins to me.I have so much respect for him and the years of service he put into educating children. I am blessed and honored to have been a small part of his life.

Mr Robbins touched so many lives he taught me both my sisters my son and was a mentor to my daughter when she was in 1st grade and both my nephews he is one of those teachers you go back and see every year he taught me over 24 years ago and i still kept in contact with him he will be missed and my prayers go out to his family.

My son pursued becoming a teacher because of this great man's influence in his life.  He touched so many in such a positive way.  My son was blessed to have been his student.  He will be missed.

My prayers go out to the Robbins family. I owe alot to Mr. Robbins. He gave me the extra touch to help me succeed. I remember the conversations we had on the bank of the fishing pond. Boy did he love to fish! Thank you Mr. Robbins for all of your advise and being you!!

Wow. I am at a loss for words. Mr. Robbins was a wonderful man and terrific teacher. I was blessed enough to have him for two years at Wheelock. He will be greatly missed. Heaven is a brighter place now. Mr. Robbins you will be deeply missed. No one could ever take your place.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Robbins family.  My mother, Barbara Colwell-Little, was such good friends with Arnold.  I have many memories of my childhood in Lubbock that involve Arnold, Rosie, Alicia, Jessica, and Vanessa.  Kaleidoscope classes in the summer and setting off the little mini rockets with Mr Robbins was the greatest... he was always so funny and was terrified I was going to hurt myself!!  I loved him... He was another part of our family.  When my dad passed away, he and Rosie were some of the first ppl to rush to our sides... I can never repay Arnold for how much he meant to us.  Thank you!

Mr. Robbins is the reason I became a teacher. He was my fifth grade teacher at Wheelock 25 years ago, and to this day I still remember him above all teachers. I was a proud member of his rocket club, and apprieciated every moment he took out of his time to spend it with a very insecure 10 year old. During my fourth grade year I had to start wearing glasses, and I hated them. Mr. Robbins would always comment on good they looked, and asured me that I could always go to him if someone gave me a hard time about them. Not only did he give me knowledge of Science, he gave me self esteem and confidence. I only pray that I can repay that favor to my students. My prayers are with the Robbins family in their time of loss. I will always remember and be truely greatfull for everything he taught me.

Mr. Robbins was my favorite teacher!  I was in his 4th/5th grade classes at Wheelock Elementary around 1984.  I will always remember the wonderful units we had in his science class and how much fun we had learning new things.  He was a true inspiration and will be greatly missed.

When Barbara (Colwell) and I were making plans for our marriage, Arnold was one of the first people she introduced me to; and he, in turn, welcomed me to your home to meet his wife and girls, of whom he was so very proud.

Later visits with Arnold only reinforced my belief that he was a kind, caring, and compassionate husband and father who loved his family dearly.

Arnold will be missed by all who knew him, but all of us will continue to be blessed by our association with him.

Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this time.

I was a student in Mr. Robbins' class way back when in the early 90's. I have often thought fondly of those days and the great experiences I had in his classroom.  He was a remarkable teacher who gave everything he had to his students.  My thoughts are with you during what this incredibly difficult time.  Please know that he has left an indelible mark on those of us who were fortunate enough to have passed through his classroom. God Bless.

 All those years teaching and positively influencing so many lives is a tremendous legacy; a wonderful reason to celebrate this man's life! I didn't have the honor of knowing Mr. Robbins personally, but I'm an employee for Lubbock ISD at CHS and I want to express my condolences to his friends and family.

My 30-year-old son just sent me an email, having learned of Mr. Robbins' passing. Mr. Robbins was his teacher in 5th and 6th grades at Wheelock.  He was an ingenious and creative teacher, and the kids loved him.   Arnold Robbins leaves footprints that will be hard to fill.

Mr. Robbins. Wow, seems like only yesterday I was a kid still back in school. I remember the activities we would do in your class and how you made science fun. Years have gone by yet I never forgot you. Your words have stayed with me and always will. You were a good man, teacher, father, and husband and I know your family as well as your students will always love and miss you. I'll pray for you and your family and I hope that you watch over us all. We love you Mr. Robbins, gone but not forgotten.

Both of my daughters went to Wheelock and were in Mr. Robbins class. He was a great teacher and mentor.  Our prayers are with the Robbins family.

Mr. Robbins had a huge influence on my life.  He sparked my interest in science, and I am an engineer because of that influence.  He was a great educator and man, and he will be missed.  My prayers and thoughts are with the family.

Rosie and girls,

Though the years and miles have separated us, the memories of time shared have and always will be fresh in my mind. Teaching and coaching Odyssey of the Mind teams with Arnold, watching your family grow, the pride Arnold had in his "four" girls and their accomplishments, sharing precious time with each of you and knowing that Rosie and Arnold were there if/when I needed them.

My thoughts and prayers to the family. There are no words to describe the teacher that Mr. Robbins was. I had the pleasure of having him for science for 3 years. If you ever stepped foot in his room, then you know what I mean. He was that teacher who went above and beyond. He helped me through some tough times in my childhood. He is a remarkable man that will be missed. Not only in the classroom, But all the lives he has touched. May God be with you in this time of need.

My thoughts are with all of you. Mr. Robbins was one of my favorite teachers ever. He was very patient and one of the things I remember the most is how much he always made us laugh! I am very thankful to have known him and to have been lucky enough to have had him as my teacher back at Wheelock.

Dear Arnie - I remember such fun times at grandpa's house in Wheatland. You,  I,Ernie and Uncle Al would run around the house, play hide and seek, and I, of course, would run to grandpa to save me.  Arnie, you always had a smile and so much compassion.  We may have lost touch, but you never left my heart, and since we grew up together, you remained one of my very favorite cousins. I look forward to seeing you again someday and catching up on those fun days. All My Love to you and to your family.
